Stirlingshire Ladies Golf was established in 1909 and Played in the East Division. Stirlingshire originally consisted three clubs, Stirling Golf Club and Falkirk Tryst Golf Club and Bridge of Allan.

The Stirling and Clackmannan County Ladies Golf Association was founded in 1969 when Stirlingshire and Clackmannanshire amalgamated, to "further the interest of Ladies Amateur Golf in the Area"
